Each Doctor Must: ◆ Be fully licensed and in good standing with proper malpractice coverage. ◆ Participate in on-going postgraduate training in personal injury and worker’s comp. ◆ Be knowledgeable regarding the bio-dynamics involved in a motor vehicle accident. ◆ Become and maintain QME status and have a good working knowledge of WC cases. ◆ Be willing to accept PI and WC cases on a lien basis. ◆ Be able to accurately and thoroughly diagnose the patient’s condition. ◆ Refer to other health specialists when clinically indicated. ◆ Offer appropriate treatment programs including proper number of visits with reasonable and customary charges. ◆ Be willing to testify as an expert. ◆ Be able to offer expert professional case management including good record keeping. ◆ Be willing to negotiate the patient’s bill fairly with the attorney's office. ◆ Complete thorough and accurate narrative reports in a timely manner and at no charge to the attorney. |

| Regarding the Office: ◆ The office must be neat and organized. ◆ The staff should be polite and professional. ◆ New patient appointments must be made the same day or next. ◆ Established patients should not made to wait more than 15 minutes for their treatment. ◆ Office should have the necessary physiotherapy equipment to treat trauma cases effectively. ◆ There must be an MD on staff, working either in or near the office. ◆ X-ray facilities must be in or near the office. |
| Regarding Communication: Doctor and Staff Keeps Attorney Informed When: ◆ Referrals or special tests are required. ◆ The injuries sustained are not consistent with the amount of property damage. ◆ Patient is missing appointments. ◆ There are any other unusual circumstances with the case. |
